I have a Vista Home Preminum on my Toshiba laptop and aside from the built in software from Toshiba, I've been trying to get rid of IE7 ever since I got the laptop. Each time i try to delete it, it says that I don't have permission to do this ALTHOUGH i am the adminstrator on the laptop.

Dell, for example, is offering only Vista on Inspiron laptops. It seems like suicide to me, but what do I know. Has anyone here tried calling Dell (or other similar mail-order houses) and asking whether they would substitute XP?
